Here is a paragraph for speaking practice on Day 4:

“Yesterday, I went to the park with my friends. We played soccer and had a picnic. The weather was beautiful, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. After lunch, we took a walk around the lake and saw some ducks swimming. It was a lovely day, and I’m so glad we decided to go to the park.”

Read the paragraph out loud, and then try to retell the story in your own words. You can also practice asking and answering questions about the story, such as:

Here is a short story for speaking practice:

“The Little Girl and the Butterfly”

Once upon a time, a little girl named Lily was playing in her garden. She saw a beautiful butterfly fluttering around a flower. Lily was fascinated by the butterfly’s colorful wings and wanted to catch it. She gently chased the butterfly until it landed on her hand. To her surprise, the butterfly spoke to her! “Lily, I am a magic butterfly. I will grant you one wish if you set me free.” Lily thought for a moment and wished for a garden full of beautiful flowers that would never fade. The butterfly granted her wish and flew away. From that day on, Lily’s garden was filled with the most beautiful flowers anyone had ever seen.
