1.BAD COMPANY
Once there was a rich man.He had only one son. He gave him everything he wanted.All spoke good of him.After sometime, he fell into a bad company.His father advised him many time to give up the bad company.But all his advised fell flat on him.He was in a fix what to do.At last he hit upon a plan.One day he brought a basket of apples.He gave it to his son.He also placed a rotten apple in the basket.
Next day he asked his son to bring the basket.The son found that all the apples had gone bad.The father told his son that a single rotten apple had spoiled all the good ones.
Moral: Better alone than a bad company
2.THE FOX AND THE GRAPES
One day a fox was very hungry.He went here and there in search of food but he did not find anything to eat.He did not lose hoer.At last he reached a garden.There he saw some ripe grapes hanging from a vine.His mouth begin to water.He decided to eat some grapes. He jumped to get at the grapes but could not reach them. He jumped again and again but his efforts ended in smoke.At last he gave up the the struggle. He went away saying,”The grapes are sour.I do not want to eat them”.
Moral”Grapes are sour.
3.THE GREEDY DOG
Once there was a dog. He was very hungry.He went to the shop of butcher .He stole a piece of meat from it.He took his in his mouth and ran to the forest.On the way there was a river.There was a bridge over it.When he was crossing over it,he saw his own reflection in its clear water.He took it for another dog with a piece of meat in his mouth.He was very greedy.He wanted to have that piece.He jumped into the river in order to get it.When he opened his mouth his own piece of meat fell into the water.He tried his best to find it but in vain.He went home with heavy heart.He felt sorry but it was no use crying over spilt milk.
Moral:Greed is a curse.
4.THE FOX AND THE CROW
One day a fox was very hungry. He went here and there in search of food but he could not find anything to eat.At last he reached in a garden.There he saw a crow sitting in a tree.It had a big piece of meat in its beak.His mouth began to water at the sight of the meat.The fox wanted to get the piece of meat at all cost. He was in a fix what to do.At last he hit upon a plan.He began to praise the crow.He said ,”Mrs.crow, What a beautiful bird you are! I have heard that your voice is very sweet.Will you sing me a song please?”The crow was overjoyed to hear these words.It opened its beak begin to caw. As soon as it opened its beak the piece of meat fell down on the ground.The fox picked it up and went away.He did not wait to hear what he wished for.
Moral:Beware of flatterers.
5. A STRANGE HEN
Once a man had a strange hen.It laid a golden egg daily.The man was very happy.He was a greedy also.He wanted to become a rich man.But he was too impatient to wait for several months.He decided to kill the hen in order to get all the golden eggs.He killed the hen and was bitterly disappointed to know that there was only one egg.He repented his folly,but it is useless to cry over spilt milk.
Moral:Do not be greedy.
2.Greed is curse.
3.It is no use crying over spilt milk.
4.A bird in hand is worth two in bush.
6.HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY
Once a poor woodcutter was cutting a tree on a bank of river.Suddenly his axe slipped and fell into the water.The poor fellow was very sad.The angle of mercy happened to pass that way.He asked him,”why are you so sad?”The woodcutter told him about his loss.The angel took pity on him.He dived into the water and brought out a golden axe.The woodcutter told him that was not his axe.The angel dived again and this time brought out a silver axe.The woodcutter refused again saying,” my axe is made of iron.”The angel dived and brought out an iron axe”.He cried out with joy.”The angel was much pleased with his honesty and gave him the other two axes as a reward for his honesty.
Moral:Honesty is the best policy.
7.THE WOLF AND THE LAMB
Once a wolf was drinking water at a stream. He saw a lamb also drinking water far down.The wolf decided to eat it up.He went up to him and said angrily ,” why are making the water muddy?” The poor lamb said trembling,”sir,It is coming from you to me.how can i make it muddy? At this the wolf said,Why did you abused me last year ?
The lamb said ,”Sir, I am only six month old.How could i abuse you last year?”The wolf said,”Then it must be your mother.Saying this he sprang upon the lamb and ate him up.
Moral; Any excuse is good enough for an evildoer.
8.THE BOY WHO CRIED, “WOLF “! WOLF!!”
A shepherd boy tended his sheep near a village.One day he was lying under shady tree.He thought of a trick.He decided to make fool of villagers.He shouted at the top of his voice”,Wolf! wolf!!” when the villagers heard his voice, they came at once.They had stick in their hands.Thus he used to amuse himself every now and then.People became very angry.They ceased to take noticed of his joke.One day a wolf actually came. The boy was frightened at his sight. He shouted, “Wolf! Wolf!!” None came to his help.People did not believe him. The wolf killed him and his sheep.
Moral;Once a liar always a liar.
9.THE MOUSE AND THE LION
Once there lived a lion in jungle.One day he was enjoying a sleep under the shade of a tree. A mouse had also its hole nearby.It ran over his body. The lion woke up.He was very angry.He caught hold of the rat and wanted to kill it. The rat begged pardon.The lion took pity on him and spared his life.After sometime the lion was caught in a trap.He struggled hard to break the rope but failed.He roared.The rat saw him in a trouble.He began to gnaw the ropes.In a short time,the lion was free.He thanked the rat.
Moral:Do good,have good.
10.A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED
Once two friends were passing through a jungle.They saw a bear coming toward them.They were field with fear.One of them at once climbed up a tree.The other lay down on the ground.He held his breath and pretended to be dead.The bear sniffed him,took him for a dead body and went away.When the bear had gone and the danger was over,the other fellow came and asked,” What did the bear say in your ear?”He replied,the bear advised me not to trust a friend who does not help him in danger.!”
Moral:A friend in need is a friend indeed.
11. THE DOVE AND THE BEE
Once a bee fell into a pond.It was going to drowned.A dove saw that the bee was dying.She plucked a large leaf.She dropped it into the water near the bee.The bee climbed on the leaf,dried its wing,and flew to its hive safe and sound.It was thankful to the dove for her kindness.It wished to do her a good turn.
A few, days later the dove was sitting on the branch of a tree A hunter was taking aim at her with his gun.The bee arrived in the nick of time.At once it sat upon the hunter”s hand and stung.He moved his hand with pain and missed the aim.The flew away in the safety thanking the bee.
Moral:Do good, have good
12.THREE GREEDY MEN
There lived three young men in a certain village.They were fast friends.They decided to go out on a long journey.One early morning , they sat out.During their journey they found a bag lying at the foot of a tree.When they opened it,they found it full of gold.Their joy knew no bounds.They jumped with joy.They decided to dived the gold equally among themselves. Really each wanted to have all the gold.They felt hungry.One of them went to fetch food.He mixed some poison in the food.The two hand in absence,decided to kill him.So when he came,He was put to death.When the other two ate the food,they died on the spot.
Moral:1.He who digs a pit for others himself falls into it.

13.THE FOOLISH STAG
Once a stag was drinking water at a stream.He saw his reflection in the clear water of the stream.He felt proud pf his beautiful horns.He praised them in his mind.Then he looked at his thin legs.He hated them for their ugliness.Some hounds saw him and began to run towards him.When the stag saw them, he ran to save his life.But his horns were caught in a bush. He tried hard to free himself but in vain.In the meantime,the hounds came up to him. They caught him and tore him into pieces.
Moral: Pride has a fall.
14.THE ASS AND HIS LOAD OF HIS SALT
A man had an ass. He used to load him with bags of salt and went to the market.One day , by chance the ass fell down in the stream. The salt was dissolved in the water.The ass was pleased as he had to carry less weight.Next the ass again fell down in the stream and made his load lighter. The master had to suffer a loss. He was puzzled.He hit upon a plan.The next day he loaded the animal with cotton. The ass fell down again and cotton dipped into the water. Te load become heavier. He could walk with great difficulty.He was punished for the trick he had played.
Moral;1. Cheating is a bad strategy.
Honest is the best policy.
15.THIRSTY CROW
Once a crow was very thirsty.It wanted to drink water.It flew here and their in search of water. At last it saw a pitcher in garden.It at once flew to the pitcher.It put her beak in the pitcher.There was a little water in the bottom.I ts beak could not reach in it.It began to think,At last it saw some pebbles on the ground.It dropped many pebbles,one by one, into the pitcher.The water rose up.It drank water and flew away.
Moral;Try try again.
2.Necessity is the mother of invention.
16. TRY TRY AGAIN
Bruce was a brave king of Scotland.His country was conquered by the English. He took refuge in a cave in a thick jungle.He fought against the English eight times , but could not regain his throne.One day he saw a spider falling from hits web.It tried eight times to reach its home, but every time it failed.Yet it did not lose heart.It tried for the ninth time and met with success.This filled the king with new hope.He gathered his army for the ninth time and fought against the English.He defeated them and regained his lost throne.
Moral;Slow and steady wins the race.
17.THE FOX AND THE JACKAL
Once a lion died.He was the king of the forest.The animals got together to choose another king.The fox wanted to make a fool of the jackal.So he said to the jackal,” Go and put on the skin of the died lion.The animals will take you for a lion, and choose you king.”The jackal put on the lion’s skin. The animals took him for a lion, and choose him their king.The animals began to bow before the new king.The jackal thought,” What a joke! All are bowing before me who am afraid everybody.At this idea he began to laugh.The animal saw that they had been cheated.They became angry.They tore the jackal to pieces.
Moral:Never tell a lie.
18.THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE.
Once a hare and a tortoise were friends.The hare was a good runner.He was proud of it.The tortoise had a slow pace.One day the hare said to the tortoise”,what fun it will be if we run a race!”Let us try”,replied the tortoise ,and they started.The hare got off swiftly.But after running half a mile he said to himself,”why should i hurry?I shall take a little rest. That lazy fellow is a long way behind.”The hare lay down to rest.H soon fell into a sound sleep.The tortoise went on slowly but steadily; and in time he reached the sleeping hare.He passed on quietly to the goal as fast as he could.Just as the tortoise reached the the winning post,the hare awoke.He again began the race.To his shame and surprise found that the tortoise was already at the post. The hare was beaten in the race by the steady going tortoise.
Moral: Slow and steady wins the race.

19.UNION IS STRENGTH.
There was an old farmer.He had three sons.They were always quarrelling with one another.This made the father very sad.He was about to die.He wanted to see them united.He thought of a plan.He sent for a number of sticks and tied them in a bundle.He then asked each of his sons to try to break the bundle.The youngest tried first,but he failed to break the bundle.The other in turn tried best, but all in vain.Even the eldest and strongest could not succeed.The father smiled to see their vain efforts.” Now my sons”said the old father to the youngest,untie the string,and try to break each stick one by one.”The youngest son did so,and broke many sticks very easily.The father said ,”my sons learn a lesson from this.United you will stand,divided you will fall.Union is strength.”
Moral:1.Union is strength.
2.Be united.
3.United you stand,divided you fall.
20.KINDNESS OF THE HOLY PROPHET(PBUH)
The holy prophet is ‘Benefactor of all the worlds’.He was kind and affectionate to human beings,animals and the universe.Once he was going on a journey.They were some of his companions with him.They were passing by bushes.One of his companion saw a nest in a bush.It was the nest of sparrows.There were two sparrow chicks in it.He picked up the young sparrows.All sparrows came crying.The holy prophet asked his companion the reason of their crying.He told that he had taken out of their chicks.The holy prophet advised his companion to put back the baby sparrow in the nest at once.His companion obeyed his orders.The sparrow felt happy and stopped crying.
Moral;1.Always be kind to others.
2.God is kind to him who is kind to other.
3.The holy prophet is benefactor of all the worlds.
