Alphabets
Alphabets of a language consist of letters which are used in writing language.The English alphabet consist of twenty six (26) letters.
Letters
Letters are written or printed symbol which represent particular sound in a language.
Types of letters
There are two types of letters.
1.Capital letters
2.Small letters
Capital letters
The uppercase letters of the alphabet are called capital letter. For example we use capital letter at the beginning of sentence or names.Like A,B,C,D,E etc
Small letters
The lowercase letters of the alphabet are called small letters. For example ,in the word “Lahore”, the first letter L is capital and (a,h,o,r,e) are small letters.
The letters are also divided into two further categories.
1.Vowel (a,e,i,o,u)
2.Consonants (b,c,d.f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,x,y,z)
